Bible schools
In the month of November we were visited by a number of churches among them the church Asambleas de Dios Luz y Vida (Assembly of God "Light and Life"), giving their lectures from the 2 to the 6 of this month. Thank you!
The Iglesia de Dios (Church of God) had a wonderful bible school all the week from the 16th to the 20th. Thousand thanks, brothers, it was a blessing having you with us. Special thanks to Professor Nestor Cobón for the great support he always gives us. God may bless you all!

November of Sports
The general management of physical education "School for introduction to sports Huehuetenango" visits us in the morning from 9:00 to 11:00, giving classes of football, chess, gimnastics, hand ball, and volley ball.
Thank you for the happiness you brought to the interns and that they got to know these different forms to exercise their bodies, live together and learn more. A THOUSAND THANKS, God bless you for the great help that you give us.

Holiday Activities
During this week the leaders of each group organized various activities and handiworks.

Results of the Harvest
The gentlemen of MAGA and SOSEP came to help the youngsters of the Foundation with the seed of tomatoe, broccoli, celery and other vegetables. We had a nice harvest for the use in house, MANY THANKS, and the boys of the Hogar Juvenil love this activity and enjoy learning techniques of cultivation.

Successfull Surgery
Ada was ill this year on her left arm. She had too much pain and could not participate in her classes of physical education in the college. During the examination the traumatologist diagnosed problems in her ellbow due to a injury when she was small and stayed with her parents. The operation was performed on Wednesday and was a success, Gracias a Dios. We thank for the valuable help regarding the stay of Ada in this Medical center and the doctors for their cooperation without any cost: Dra. Milvia Fuentes with the anesthesia, Dr. Gadmiel Mazariegos traumatologist and Dr. César Témaj director of the hospital, for making Ada happy and resolving her problem. CONGRATULATIONS ADA.

Happy Visit
With great joy we received the most welcome visit of the group of One heart Ministries, a few days ago. God bless you brothers and thanks for always helping us and thinking of us.

Annual Tombola
Like in all the year we all went out to sell tickets for our tombola, in order to obtain funds for paying the monthly costs we have.

Aniversary of Fundacion Salvacion 10/10/2009
On 10th of October the Fundacion celebrated the 12 years of service to the community of Hueuetenango. This celebration was supported buy a number of persons and institutions who love the Fundacion and of whom we would like to name a few:
- We thank Profesor Nestor Cobon for the transport, sound and directing the program together with voluntary Señorita Ana Lucia Diaz Samayoa.
- A thousand thanks to the Colegio El Alba and to the Escuela Amalia Chaves for their valuable participation in the dance, songs and poetry performances.
- Thanks to volunteer Kenyi Shinoda for his help with the preparation of the costumes of the group of childen and ladies..
- Thanks to the Pastelerias Doña Estercita and Del Trigo Pan for the donation of pastels.
- We thank the municipality of the department of Huehuetenango for lending us the location of the beautiful Teatro José Ernesto Monzón.

Shester Rodriguez receives price of the American College.
On September 5h 2009 Shester Rodriguez received a price of the American College of Huehuetenango for his great dedication as student showing personal value and adhering to the educative principles. In the celebration he had the honour to carry the flag of Huehuetenango. We all congratulate him very cordially for this great honour!

September 1st, 2009. Reopening of Grocery Store and Cafeteria
On the September 1st we reopened the Grocery Store and Cafeteria in a bigger space with the goal to generate more income to support the Foundation.
In the cafeteria we serve breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks. Call us at 47071388.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, de 8AM to 6PM.

Marathon to the ruins of Zaculeu
With the objective to promote personal fitness and obtain funds for Fundación Salvación, in August 2009 a marathon was organized with the help of Escuela Nacional de Educación Física and the College El Alba. The track started in front of the Foundation and led to the ruins of Zaculeu and back. Among the participants were there were children and adults.

August 9th: dancing contest for teenagers
With the goal to generate income for the Foundation, a dancing contest for teenagers was organized in the Centro Comercial La Pradera. We thank all the donours for their support in this activity.
Afer the performance of all inscribed groups, the jury named the following winners:
- 1st place: Señorita La Beba
- 2nd placer: the group Crusant
- 3rd place: the group of the Instiute Ixtahuacán
We thank all inviduals and groups for their excellent performances and congratulate the winners very cordially!
